Aluminium Venetian blind care: gentle cleaning

Regular dust removal helps keep aluminium Venetian blinds clean. A soft, dry cloth or gentle brush is enough for everyday care. Avoid pressing on the thin slats.

01 / Care

Clean slats. Simple everyday care.

Lower the blinds and close the slats. Work from top to bottom, wiping gently along them. Tilt them the other way and repeat. Do not pull on the cords or put strain on the ladders.

If the product instructions permit vacuuming, use a soft attachment and low suction. Do not let the vacuum pull in or bend the slats.

02 / Care

For marks, use a barely damp cloth.

Stubborn dirt can be wiped gently with a soft cloth barely dampened with water, if suitable for the specific finish. Avoid excess water, particularly around the headrail and mechanism.

Let the blinds dry before raising them. Aluminium slats do not mean the entire product is made of aluminium or that the mechanism can be soaked.

Key points: gentle cleaning protects both the surface and the shape of the slats.

03 / Care

When cleaning is not enough.

If a slat is bent or the controls stick, harder scrubbing will not solve the problem. Ask for advice on the product's condition. Do not use unapproved cleaning products or lubricants.
