01 / Fabrics and light
Soften the sun. Keep the view.
Transparent film is useful when working, reading or watching television near a window. With the blind lowered, light becomes less intense while the window maintains a connection to the outdoors. This differs from fabric intended to darken a room.
Distinguish transparent film from other materials in the same collection. Glasgard offers textiles and films with different levels of light transmission, so the name alone does not tell you how much you will see outside.

Heat reduction depends on the material.
A special coating reflects some solar energy. However, a material's technical rating does not promise a specific reduction in room temperature. Glazing, window orientation, ventilation and the room as a whole all affect the result.
Key points: choose according to three needs: glare reduction, your preferred light level and the view outside.

See it at your own window.
During your consultation, explain when the sun bothers you and where your screen or seating area is positioned. Holding a suitable sample against the glass makes it easier to assess visibility and light. We will also discuss system suitability and measurements.
