Which blinds control to choose?
To choose the right VELUX roller blind control, consider the location of the skylight and how often you will want to adjust the position of the roller blinds. Both solar and electric roller blinds are controlled remotely and are a great choice if VELUX roof windows are not available or if you want to give a loft room a sense of innovative luxury.

Manually operated exterior blind with open and closed positions
The manually operated exterior blind can be fully raised or lowered. When not in use, it is concealed beneath the cover. To operate the blind, open the window and rotate it 180 degrees until the sash engages automatically with the armoured blind. When you close the window, the exterior blind will be raised automatically. To raise it again, rotate the window by 180 degrees. A click indicates that the exterior blind has disengaged from the sash.
Remote control with electricity
Remotely and electrically controlled external blinds are controlled by the smart VELUX INTEGRA® remote control touch screen supplied with the VELUX INTEGRA® roof window. It is an intuitive solution that allows you to control the blinds remotely. The VELUX INTEGRA® control panel has a large number of preset programs that ensure everyday comfort and a better indoor climate. You can control the blinds from anywhere in the room and enjoy all the possibilities offered by the preset programs, such as programmed to raise and lower at certain hours.
If necessary, the blind can be raised and lowered manually using the control handle at the bottom.
What if I don't have an electrically operated VELUX INTEGRA® roof window?
If you don't have an electrically operated VELUX INTEGRA® roof window, but would like an electrically operated blind, try the KUX 100 control system. With it, you can use electrically operated VELUX blinds on manually operated windows. Or try the KMX 100 control system and turn all manually operated skylights into automatic ones. With the control system KMX 100, you will be able to control several electrical products.
Both control systems include a VELUX remote control, making the blind compatible with io-homecontrol®. The KMX 100 control system also includes a rain sensor.
Remote control with solar energy
Remote-controlled and solar-powered exterior blinds are operated using the control unit supplied with the blind. If you have a solar-powered VELUX INTEGRA® roof window, you can also use the VELUX INTEGRA® touch-screen control panel supplied with the roof window.
The VELUX INTEGRA® control panel has a large number of preset programs that ensure everyday comfort and a better indoor climate. You can control the blinds from anywhere in the room and enjoy all the possibilities offered by the preset programs, such as programmed to raise and lower at certain hours.
If necessary, the solar blind can also be operated manually. The solar-charged cell lasts up to 600 operations, even in the absence of direct sunlight to recharge it.
