Cord-operated pleated blinds – convenient light control

Cord-operated pleated blinds are ideal when it is more convenient to adjust the fabric height from the side. The headrail stays fixed while the fabric raises or lowers to the desired position. Neat pleats add a subtle, welcoming finish to the window.

We will bring pleated fabric samples for you to hold against the glass, assess their light transmission and match them to your furniture, walls, window frames and overall interior. Our consultant will help you choose a fabric to suit the room, your privacy needs and the desired level of dimming. Together, we will also choose a profile colour that complements your window.

Dim the light or open up the view.

Lower the fabric for more privacy or to soften bright light. Raise it for more daylight and a clearer view outside. We will choose the fabric's light transmission to suit the room.

Operate with the cord at the side.

Pull the cord to adjust the blind height. A lock integrated into the headrail helps hold the chosen position. This control is convenient when the moving rail would be difficult to access or reach.

Measuring includes everyday convenience.

Our consultant will assess window dimensions, space for the stacked fabric and access to the window. We will discuss the most convenient control side and cord position so the blind is easy to reach and adjust.

Fixings for your chosen position.

We will assess headrail fixing options and window opening. The installation position will allow the fabric to move freely without the raised blind obstructing window use.

How do pleated blind systems differ?

The standard system lets you move the top and bottom rails to cover the part of the window you choose. The DUO system combines two fabrics, while the cord-operated version raises and lowers the fabric with the headrail remaining fixed. Trapezoidal windows, roof windows and conservatories use systems adapted to their shape and slope.

Can it be motorised?

We will assess whether motorisation is possible for your chosen system and window. We will discuss suitable controls during your consultation.
